Monday 19th September has been chosen for the 2016 Annual Meeting of the UK Alexander von Humboldt Association. The event this year will take place at Somerville College, Oxford, in Flora Anderson Hall, Wolfson Building. Lunch will be provided and there will be a reception after the talks. |

The programme has now been finalised and is available here. It features talks on a wide variety of subjects from across science and the humanities. A contribution towards travel costs will be available for those presenting. |

There is a £20 contribution to cover costs associated with the meeting. On registration, details for making an electronic bank transfer will be provided in the automated confirmation message. Alternatively, please send cheques payable to 'UK Alexander von Humboldt Association' to the Treasurer, Dr James Wilton-Ely (j.wilton-ely@imperial.ac.uk), at the following address: |
Department of Chemistry, Imperial College London, London SW7 2AZ. |
Once your cheque or transfer has been received, you will be sent an acknowledgment e-mail and your name will be added to the list of confirmed attendees. The Executive Committee has some funds to contribute towards the costs of those travelling to the meeting from afar, or who may otherwise need financial assistance to attend. If you wish to be considered for this, you should register normally and contact the Treasurer with an estimate of your costs and the reason for claiming support (e.g. young researcher). Support will be arranged via cheque or bank transfer at the event itself. |

Please pass this information onto other Humboldtians as their contact details may have changed since the mailing list was compiled. Further details will be placed on this website as soon as the programme is finalised. The location of Somerville College (Oxford OX2 6HD) is here. |
