UK Alexander von Humboldt Association

 

 

Friday 22nd September has been chosen for the 2017 Annual Meeting of the UK Alexander von Humboldt Association. The event this year will take place at the German House, German Embassy, 34 Belgrave Square, SW1X 8BZ, London. Lunch will be provided and there will be a reception after the talks.

 

The programme has now been finalised with 7 talks covering varied and fascinating topics (details can be found here). There is still time to register for the meeting, which can be done here. Please note that receipt of payment will confirm your attendance and allow us to make catering arrangements. The closing date for registrations is the 17th September 2017

 

There is a £20 contribution to cover costs associated with the meeting. On registration, details for making an electronic bank transfer will be provided in the automated confirmation message. Alternatively, please send cheques payable to 'UK Alexander von Humboldt Association' to the Treasurer, Dr James Wilton-Ely (treasurer@avh.org.uk), at the following address:

Once your cheque or transfer has been received, you will be sent an acknowledgment e-mail and your name will be added to the list of confirmed attendees. The Executive Committee has some funds to contribute towards the costs of those travelling to the meeting from afar, or who may otherwise need financial assistance to attend. If you wish to be considered for this, you should register normally and contact the Treasurer with an estimate of your costs and the reason for claiming support (e.g. young researcher). Support will be arranged via cheque or bank transfer at the event itself.
